Takayna is an animated video work developed through field-based observation of forest ecologies in Tasmania. Created during a residency with the Bob Brown Foundation Art for Takayna program, the work draws on material gathered while paddling remote sections of the Arthur River and moving through forest areas designated for logging.

Combining macro wildlife photography and field recordings (including documentation of species such as the endangered and elusive masked owl) constructs an ecological system shaped through close observation, macro wildlife photography, and field recordings
